We chose to leave these highly processed, industrial shortcuts out of our detergent-free laundry powder because we know people are looking to clean with cleaner ingredients, and we knew we could get the job done just as well with natural ingredients and simple chemistry you could recreate in your kitchen.
Why we're all natural—no synthetics here!
Many synthetic chemicals in artificial fragrances and preservatives are derived from petrochemicals and have been found to be endocrine disruptors, neurotoxins, and carcinogens. Others have been linked to reproductive birth defects, and many can cause allergic or hypersensitivity skin reactions. No thank you! (When it comes to fragrances, natural and essential oils can bring some joy to our cleaning routines without the nasty stuff—and for our friends with sensitive skin and other allergies, we offer totally fragrance-free, hypoallergenic formulas.)
